About Liz
Liz Oh is currently the Head of Brand Design at Grammarly. Her team is responsible for creative, writing, content design, and visual design—across the organization, for campaigns, and for brand experience continuity. Previously, she was Head of Design at Compass where she led the national design team. Prior to that, she was the XD Creative Director at design agencies, notably VSA Partners, where she helped shape a new brand design system for Bloomberg, and helped define products for IBM. Her passion for designing for non-profits and the arts stems from her experience at PSNY.
Liz has been teaching a practicum, Designing Systems for Social Change, at CalArts since 2019. She is also a mentor on ADPList—where she supports students, designers, and leaders in tech.
Liz holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design with a distinction for her multi-disciplinary studies in Industrial Design and Graphic Design.
When she is not designing, thinking about design, talking about design, or learning more about design—you can find her spending time with her daughter and partner in LA.
